Hi Ladies and Gentlemen!

First of all, I’ve been doing this:

“Taking time to live life will only inspire your work.”

I actually have been doing writing but I’ve also been doing a whole lot of living and by that I mean keeping another human alive. :) I don’t have a ton of time, energy, or motivation for this blog so I’m going to let my domain expire. I am going to keep posting from time to time. But I just don’t see a point in paying for something I can’t devote a ton of time into, you know?

So, starting on July 18th or 15th or something, my blog will be located at krisatkinswrites.wordpress.comNot a huge change, but an important one to note. So, yeah, update your bookmarks so come July you’re not all, “Oh nooooo! Kris! Where did you go? You were so young! You had so much life to live!” Because I’ll still be around. :)

Turbo and I are getting ready to head home to visit the rents for 3 weeks. I am so excited, though obviously we will miss the Mister quite a bit. I still have a goal to revise three chapters a week and I’ve got good motivation and incentives, so fingers crossed! If I’m successful, I’ll finally be ready to bang out the last 20k of this book. Yesssss.

What about you? How is your summer looking? What’s cooking? Doing any booking? Okay, I’ll shut up now. :)

I write speculative fiction inspired by mythos from around the world, complex family dynamics, and my own experiences living with mental illness. After earning my BA in Linguistics from Brigham Young University in 2008, I received my MFA in Creative Writing from Converse College in 2012. I live in Denver, where my husband and I spend countless hours chasing our three young sons (and sometimes catching them!). I collect tarot decks, dye my hair mermaid colors, and procrastinate by decorating my home. My debut novel, Feathers Sharp as Knives, releases on May 2, 2023.
