I Has the Tunnel Vision

Sorry for the lack of posts the last half of the week, but this has been me all week:

Sleep? Food? Husband? My house is on fire?

I write speculative fiction inspired by mythos from around the world, complex family dynamics, and my own experiences living with mental illness. After earning my BA in Linguistics from Brigham Young University in 2008, I received my MFA in Creative Writing from Converse College in 2012. I live in Denver, where my husband and I spend countless hours chasing our three young sons (and sometimes catching them!). I collect tarot decks, dye my hair mermaid colors, and procrastinate by decorating my home. My debut novel, Feathers Sharp as Knives, releases on May 2, 2023.

  1. “This is a reenactment”

Pffftttahahahahahahaha. Yeah, I know EXACTLY what you mean. “What? I have to go to work in five minutes? No, you’re mistaken, I’ve been at work FOR THREE STRAIGHT DAYS. IT’S GLORIOUS.”

    1. It seriously is work! I took Tuesday and Thursday off for writing purposes and I was way more tired at the end of those days than the rest of the week. I collapsed into bed at crazy early hours (you know, like 10), but my mind was still going full speed about the story, so I had to take sleeping pills so I could shut it up and sleep. -_-*
